WizMessage vs Wati: what you are really paying for
Wati is one of the best-known WhatsApp platforms, and the software is capable. The question worth asking is what the fee buys that the connection itself does not — because the connection is Meta's, and it is the same one on both sides of this page.
- One price, rather than a tier that changes when the team grows
- Flat plan
- Messages billed at Meta's published rate rather than a provider rate card
- Meta's rate
- Coexistence onboarding keeps the WhatsApp Business app working while the API runs
- Same number
Who it's for
Teams on a Wati trial, or on Growth and about to add a fourth person, working out whether the next tier is worth it.
The worry it answers
"Wati is the name everyone knows." It is, and that is worth something. It is not worth a multiple of the plan price, and the seat maths is where most teams find the real difference.
What the same job costs elsewhere
Platform fees only, converted to your currency. Meta's per-message charges are billed by every official provider — including us — so they are left out on both sides.
| Provider | Monthly platform fee | Users | Per-message charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| WizMessageUsWiz Pro | $6.18 | No per-user fee | Meta's rate at cost. We add nothing. |
| WatiGrowthShopify integration $4.99/month | $89 | 3 included · then $24 per extra user | Charged on the provider's own rate card |
Prices as published by each provider on 2026-08-16, excluding taxes and Meta's own per-message charges, converted at the day's exchange rate. Providers change their pricing without notice — check their current pricing before you decide.

The two things that move the bill
Wati's published plans include a set number of users and a monthly active contact allowance, and its pricing page states that message charges are billed on the Wati rate card. Both of those scale with success: hire, and you move up a tier or pay per extra user; grow the list, and the contact allowance is the next thing to buy. Neither is hidden — it is on their page — but neither shows up in the headline number either.

Rate card versus Meta's rate
This is the difference that does not appear on a comparison table until you have been billed for a month. Meta publishes a price per template message for each country and category. A provider billing on its own rate card is not obliged to match it, and the gap is small enough per message to be invisible and large enough at volume to matter. We pass Meta's rate straight through, so the only thing you are paying us for is the plan.
When Wati is the better answer
There are cases where it is, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.
- You need a specific Wati integration or a partner already building on it
- Your buying process needs a large, well-established vendor with local enterprise support
- You are already deep into their automation flows and the migration cost outweighs the difference
- You want one vendor for WhatsApp plus channels we do not cover
Checked against the product on 2026-08-16. WhatsApp's own rules and charges are set by Meta and can change.
Good to know
Where this feature stops, in plain words — so nothing here surprises you after you buy.
- Meta's per-message charges apply on both sides. Neither platform can remove them.
- Wati's prices in the table are its own published figures on the date shown, converted at that day's rate. Enterprise and annual deals are negotiated privately and will differ.
- Feature sets are not identical. Compare the specific things your team uses rather than the length of the feature list.
- Moving platforms means re-submitting message templates to Meta for approval, whichever direction you move in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I move my number from Wati to WizMessage?
Yes. A WhatsApp Business number can be migrated between providers, and coexistence onboarding means the app on the phone keeps working through it. Templates have to be re-submitted for approval, which is the usual delay.
Is Wati's rate card more expensive than Meta's rate?
Wati publishes its own rate card rather than stating that it bills Meta's rate, so the honest answer is to compare its rate card against Meta's published rate for the countries you send to. We bill Meta's rate at cost.
What happens when my team grows?
With us, nothing — the plan price does not change with the number of people who log in. On a tiered per-user model, each new person is a line item or a tier upgrade.
Do I lose my chat history when I switch?
Conversations that live in the WhatsApp Business app on the phone stay there, and coexistence brings them across when the number connects. History held only inside another platform's inbox is that platform's to export.
Is this comparison up to date?
The date below the table is when the figures were last checked against Wati's own published pricing. Providers change pricing without notice, so verify before you commit.
Same WhatsApp, without the rate card
One flat plan, Meta's rate at cost, and the number you already use.
See plansThe features behind this
Each one in detail, including its limits.
- Shared InboxEvery conversation on the connected number, with an owner, a status, labels and internal notes. A helpdesk, not a chat mirror.
- Bulk MessagesOne composer, every WhatsApp message type, and per-recipient proof of delivery. Not a blast-and-hope tool.
- WhatsApp CoexistenceConnect the WhatsApp Business number you already use, through Meta's own onboarding. Your phone keeps working; automation runs alongside it.
- Message TemplatesCreate approved templates, track their status, and personalise them from your contact data — without learning Meta's Business Manager.
