AI Chatbot

Customers ask in their own words. The bot answers from your documents.

A menu tree only works for the questions you predicted. This answers the question the customer actually asked — in their own words, in their own language — using your uploaded documents as the source of truth, following instructions you wrote, and stopping to fetch a human when it should not answer.

Who it's for

The business whose inbox is two hundred repeats of the same five questions, often in three different languages.

The worry it answers

"AI will say something wrong about my business." It answers from documents you uploaded, follows instructions you wrote, logs every message it sent so you can check, and escalates rather than inventing an answer.

How to set the bot up

  1. Connect a vector database

The bot needs somewhere to store the searchable version of your documents. You connect your own with a URL and a key; a free tier is available and does not need a card.

  2. Upload what it should know

Add your price list, policies, FAQ or product sheets to the knowledge base, and switch on the documents you want this channel to use.

  3. Write its instructions

Give it your persona and your rules — tone, what it must never promise, when it should fetch a person.

  4. Choose the models

Pick a fast, cheap model to work out what the customer wants, and a stronger one to write the reply. You decide both.

It answers, rather than routing

The bot works out what the customer wants, looks it up in your own material, and replies in the customer's language. Conversation memory carries across turns, so a customer can say "and how much is the second one?" and be understood. When the answer is not in your material — or the customer asks for a person — it stops and raises a handoff instead of improvising.

The controls that make AI safe to switch on

Every one of these exists so you can predict what the bot will do before it does it.

  • Custom instructions: your persona, your rules, your red lines
  • Answers grounded in the documents you uploaded, per channel, switchable per document
  • Replies translated into the language the customer wrote in
  • Teachable understanding: add example phrases in any language and map them to what the customer means
  • A full log of what the bot said, so an audit is a screen rather than a support ticket
  • Handoff to a person when it should not answer

An honest cost story

AI is metered, and pretending otherwise is how customers get a surprise. Here the cost is split deliberately: a cheap, fast model does the routing, and a stronger model writes the reply, and you choose both — so you decide where the money goes. Usage draws on a free monthly quota first and then on a top-up balance you buy in advance and can see at any time. There is no vague fair-use policy standing between you and a bill you cannot predict.

Good to know

Where this feature stops, in plain words — so nothing here surprises you after you buy.

  • Requires the Wiz Bot or Wiz Pro plan.
  • Requires your own vector database, which you connect with a URL and a key. There is a free tier that needs no credit card, but it is a real setup step — budget ten minutes for it.
  • AI usage is metered. There is a free quota, and past it usage draws on a top-up balance you control. "Unlimited AI" is not a claim we make.
  • The Shopping AI Agent is part of the higher Business and Business Plus tiers, not Wiz Bot.
  • Your teachable phrase patterns live in your own vector database — which is a privacy benefit, and also means they travel with that database rather than with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the bot make things up about my business?

It answers from the documents you uploaded rather than from general knowledge, follows the instructions you wrote, and escalates to a person when it should not answer. You can also read a log of every message it sent.

Does it reply in other languages?

Yes. It replies in the language the customer wrote in — translation of the response is built into how it answers, not a separate add-on.

Why do I need my own vector database?

It is where the searchable version of your documents lives. Keeping it in an account you own means your material and your training phrases stay in your database. There is a free tier that needs no card.

How is AI usage charged?

There is a free monthly quota. Past it, usage draws on a top-up balance you buy in advance and can check at any time. You also control cost directly by choosing which model does the routing and which writes the reply.

Can I teach it words my customers actually use?

Yes. Add example phrases — in any language — and map them to what the customer means. That is how you teach it your industry's shorthand rather than fighting a generic model.

What happens when it cannot answer?

It stops and raises a handoff, so a person replies in the same thread. That is treated as correct behaviour rather than a failure.

Let the bot take the repeat questions

Upload what it should know, write its rules, and keep a person for the rest.
